In a shocking incident, the J&K’s state Home Minister Sajjad Kitchloo allegedly assaulted a senior official inside his office in Kishtwar on Thursday.
The incident took place when Kitchloo walked into the office of Riaz, who works as the Chief Executive Officer of Kishtawar Development Authority (KDA). Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Life that the minister went inside the tourist complex where Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was scheduled to arrive.
The incident happened hours before Omar Abdullah’s visit to the area. Ahmed alleged that he was slapped thrice by the minister. “When he slapped me for the third time, I asked him what was he doing? Then his security men started hitting me,” Ahmed reportedly told a television news channel.
“They would’ve killed me. Now I’m going to lodge an FIR,” Riaz reportedly told the channel.
Kashmir Life repeatedly tried to contact Kitchloo and Riaz to know the details about the incident but the cell phones of both were on switched off mode.
