Terming the exodus of some rebel parties from Hurriyat (M) and joining Hurriyat (G) as a routine exercise, Mirwaiz led faction Thursday said rebels never raised issues related to constitution but always about the berths in executive council.

“Though we do not see any serious issue over some persons joining the faction of Geelani sahib but at the same time we want to make it clear that most of them lead one man parties and were striving for the membership in the executive council,” Hurriyat (M) spokesman Shahid-Ul-Islam told KNS over phone.

He added that in forums and amalgams, it is nothing new but a natural course that people come and leave.

“We at the same time want to mention that even with Mirwaiz Umar Farooq there are some pending applications of the resistance leaders who have expressed their desire to join us. We are not surprised as being projected that some have deserted us and joined other camp. For us- it is nothing new,” Hurriyat (M) spokesman said.

Commenting over the recent statements of the Hurriyat (M) rebels that they have left as the constitution of the amalgam framed in 1993 is being eroded and undermined, The Hurriyat (M) spokesman revealed that those who have left never raised any such issue but were everyday pitching for their posts in conglomerate’s executive council.
