According to locals, the cavalcade was attacked with stones by protesters at Marhama, Kanelwan in Bijbehara.There are no reports of anybody being injured.
Veeri, senior most legislator of PDP represents Bijbehara constituency in state assembly and is reportedly in-charge of south Kashmir for upcoming Parliamentary elections.
