SRINAGAR: A youth was killed after the motorcycle he was riding skidded off the road and crashed into an electric pole in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday, officials said.
Quoting an official the news agency KNO reported that the rider sustained critical injuries after losing control of his motorcycle, which skidded off the road and hit an electric pole at Chadoora.
He was immediately shifted to the Sub-District Hospital, Chadoora, where doctors declared him dead.
The deceased was identified as Asif Hilal Rather, son of Mohammad Hilal Rather, a resident of Kralpora, Chadoora.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation.
