A motorcyclist was killed and another sustained grievous injuries in a road accident in Lar area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday evening.
An official said that a tipper bearing registration number JK03/7541 hit a motorcyclist bearing registration number JK01AA/5371 collided with each other at Lar Bypass resulting in on-the-spot death of motorcyclist and injuries to another.
The deceased mother cyclist has been identified as Uzair Ahmad Lone, son of Showkat Ahmad, a resident of Duderhama Ganderbal.
The injured identified as Ubaid Ahmad, son of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat was immediately taken to a local hospital from where he was referred to SKIMS Soura hospital in a critical condition.
Meanwhile, police have arrested a tipper driver and further investigations have been taken up.
