SRINAGAR: Two riders A R Bhat and Jolley Jaleed on Saturday completed Srinagar to Jammu mountain biking expedition while covering a distance of 255 kilometers in 15 hours and 08 minutes.
According to the statement, they started their journey on Saturday from Srinagar at 6 am and culminated at Sidra Jammu at 7:45 in the evening.
Jaleed 38 is a resident of the Bijbehara area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district while A R Bhat 44, is resident of Mallabagh area of Srinagar. Bhat is General Manager of Jamkash Vehicleades.
“The riders covered a distance of 255.28 kilometres from Srinagar to Jammu in 15 hours 08 minutes as recorded by their world-class Garmin Devices,” said the statement.
“Both these Riders are Members of JK Mountain Biking Association and have taken part in and completed a lot of Long Distance Mountain Biking like Sinthan top, Razdaan pass, Sadhna top, etc,” it reads.
President JKMBA Riyaz Wani, President Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir (ATOAK) Rouf Tramboo, Swim N Survival Society-K, Hussaini Sports Club, and Members of JKMAC and JKMBA congratulated both the riders.
The riders said that they had been preparing for this expedition for quite some time and the preparation helped them in completing this difficult expedition with ease.
