Chairperson Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, Saturday appealed government of Pakistan to “move to the United Nations Organization” against government of India’s “plan to settle serving and retired army personnel in residential clusters in Kashmir”.

“As a member of the UN, the government of Pakistan must move an application to the world body seeking a permanent halt to the construction of such colonies in an internationally acclaimed disputed territory,” she said in a statement this evening.

“India has no right or justification to settle its ex-soldiers permanently here. If Pakistan fails to raise the issue at the UN, it can’t thwart any Indian conspiracy aimed at prolonging its illegal occupation over Kashmir,” she added.

She also impressed upon the pro-resistance leadership to unanimously “frame a strategy to counter the move”. “India must not succeed in implementing its nefarious designs against the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The pro-resistance leadership has to develop a fool-proof strategy against this dangerous and evil plot,” she said.

“I also appeal the people of Jammu and Kashmir to vociferously stand against this Indian conspiracy. If we don’t act now, the day isn’t far when the Indian masses and the Indian soldiers will be living in our homes and we will be living in camps as is the case in Palestine,” Aasiyeh said.

Aasiyeh claimed, “the decks to set up these Sainik Colonies in Kashmir were cleared by the puppet government led by late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. After his death, this plan, recommended by the Rajya Sainik Board, was positively pursued under the Governor’s rule.”

“Now, another puppet regime led by Mehbooba Mufti has asked the deputy commissioners of both Srinagar and Budgam to identify the land for the purpose. It is also reported that Rajya Sainik Board has asked for at least 350 kanals of land for setting up of these illegal colonies,” she added.

She said that such proposals were an extension of colonial policies adopted by India in Kashmir. “India adopted such policies after deliberations with Israel and its intelligence agency Mossad. Creation of these Sainik colonies in Kashmir is similar to the policies adopted by Israel to settle Jews in Palestine,” she said.

“From the very beginning, we have maintained that India seeks suggestions from Israel and its intelligence agency Mossad when it comes to framing of policies against the resistance movement in Jammu and Kashmir. Creation of the residential clusters for ex-soldiers is an extension to the nefarious nexus between these two countries,” she said.

“Israel recommended India to create such settlements that will serve as permanent and effective bottleneck for the on-going resistance movement against the illegal Indian occupation because it is an offensive move of changing demography of Jammu and Kashmir,” she alleged.

Aasiyeh Andrabi also paid tributes to the three slain militants who died in a gunfight in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
