The Commissioner Secretary of Madhya Pradesh government and his wife were among four persons killed while two others, including Inspector General Vigilance, injured when their vehicle plunged into a gorge in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

The group was on a pleasure trip to Nobra valley and were on way to Leh when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a 300-metre deep gorge at Khardungla at around 9.30 am, official sources said.

In the accident, Commissioner Secretary Darma Rao, his wife Vidya Rao and two others killed while IG vigilance, Bhopal, Ashok Awasthi and his wife were injured.

The other two deceased were identified as Kuman, a woman, and driver of the cab Heemat, a resident of Ladakh.
