“We must all be aware of the killings of Waseem Ahmad Wagay and Makhan Din. It must be investigated. The blood of Kashmiris is not cheap.”

Rashid also raised concerns about the role of security forces, asking, “Do our forces need Waseem Mir’s (common people’s) blood every day?”

He further appealed to the Government of India to construct a tunnel for Machil and Gurez in North Kashmir, emphasising that these areas remain cut off for nearly six months in winter.

Rashid, who has been in custody since 2019 in connection with a case, was granted two-day custody parole by the Delhi High Court to attend the ongoing Budget Session of Parliament.
