The former Indian skipper and honorary Lt Col of the Indian Army, Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Tuesday visited Delhi Public School in Srinagar and interacted with teachers and students.

The flamboyant cricketer appreciated the school for organizing a cricket match of visually impaired which was first of its kind in Kashmir valley.

He visited the Special Educational Needs department of the school and interacted with visually impaired children there.

Camping in the Kashmir valley from last many days, Dhoni during his stay met youth and students of army school. He also visited Uri along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday.

On Sunday he was the chief guest at the Indian army sponsored Chinar Cricket League final at Kunzar in northern Kashmir.

The local youth present as spectators during the match raised intense slogans in the name of Pakistani heartthrob, famous in the Kashmir valley, Shahid Afridi. “Boom boom Afridi” “Shahid Khan Afridi” slogans reverberated at high pitch during the match. Besides, slogans in favor of Pakistan and Zakir Musa were also raised.
