Amid restrictions, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti Monday paid obeisance at Dastageer Sahib shrine in Khanyar.
She was accompanied by PDP leader Muhammad Khurshid Aalam.
Eyewitnesses said that as soon as the Chief Minister alighted from her vehicle, scores of PDP workers raised pro-Mehbooba and pro-party slogans. The Chief Minister directed officials to make all possible arrangements for the devotees in the shrine.
Muhammad Khurshid Aalam said that the Chief Minister while praying for the peace appealed to people to maintain peace. “The Chief Minister asked people to beware of divisive forces whose sole objective is to disrupt peace and in the state.” (CNS)
