Chief Minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, has extended his greetings to the people of the State on the beginning of the fasting month of Ramadhan.
“This holy month is a period devoted to fasting and prayers and provides us with an opportunity to seek Allah’s forgiveness by renouncing sins,” an official statement said Thursday evening.
While highlighting the values of patience, self-restraint and austerity practiced during the holy month, the Chief Minister said the Ramadhan brings about feelings of kindness and respect for others.
Sayeed hoped that this auspicious occasion would be harbinger of peace, communal harmony, brotherhood, progress and prosperity in the State.
