Patron of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Saturday held interactions with the minority wing of the party and thoroughly discussed problems being faced by the displaced Kashmiri Pandits living in different parts of the State.

National spokesman of the party Dr Sameer Koul, Basharat Bukhari, MLA, Ramesh Koul, Ashok Bhat, Dr R K Pardasi, S K Raina, Nanaji Wattal, Ashok Siddha, Anju Bhan, Shadhi Lal, Maharaj Krishan were the prominent Kashmiri Pandit leaders who attended the meeting. During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on various problems being faced by the displaced Kashmiri Pandits.

Speakers in the meeting demanded that employment package announced by the Prime Minister for displaced persons should be properly implemented. Meeting also pointed out that authorities have  Setup  cumbersome process for incorporating names of Kashmiri migrants in the existing electoral rolls. It was demanded that the process should be simplify. Meeting also demanded that over-aged unemployed Kashmiri Pandit youth should be given preference in Prime Minister’s Employment Package.

All the speakers in the meeting assured PDP leadership that Kashmiri Pandit community would support the party in coming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. They said that PDP is the only party which has incorporated wishes and aspirations of all sections of the society in its programmes and policies.
