SRINAGAR: Noted Islamic scholar and Grand Mufti of Zimbabwe, Mufti Menk is currently in Kashmir. He has confirmed his Kashmir visit with an Instagram story.
Menk’s photograph while holding a coffee cup with a location tag of Srinagar, Kashmir sparked a buzz on social media about his Kashmir visit.
Sources privy of his visit told Kashmir Life said that Mufti Menk is on a two-day private visit to attend the marriage ceremony of a Kashmiri businessman, Feroz Pirzada’s daughter. The businessman is in real estate, mostly in Mumbai.
The 46-year-old is highly active on social media and has a global following with millions of followers across social media platforms.
The Zimbabwean is known throughout the Muslim world and is often seen giving motivational talks throughout the world especially on his YouTube channel.
He was listed in ‘The 500 Most Influential Muslims’ in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
