The National Conference while reacting to PDP Presidents remarks that people in rest of the country are fortunate to have free and fair election said that she not only insults the electorate of the state by her statements but also puts a huge question mark on not only on the election of her father but also on his becoming the Chief Minister.
“Is Mehbooba Mufti suggesting that Mufti Sahib’s Chief Ministers ship was also a result of a rigged election” Tanvir told KNS.
“Are elections that are only won by PDP fair and others are rigged” asked Tanvir Sadiq political secretary to Omar Abdullah, adding” in that case all the election they won as congress candidates are also rigged and she should come out and admit it”
“She should explain the role of Mufti Sayeed in 77 elections, which is believed to be the most fair election ever” said Tanvir
Hitting at her remarks of covert interferences during elections in Jammu and Kashmir Elections held in 1987 The political secretary said ” She cites this as an instance but probably forgets that in 87 her father was the JKPCC president, or does she say that the covert interferences in those election as alleged by her was on behest of her father?” Tanvir told KNS
Asking her to first check her fathers track record and his elections then comment Tanvir said these remarks only strengthens our argument that she has already conceded defeat and is looking for ways to justify her and her party’s imminent defeat in the coming elections.
