SRINAGAR: Authorities have restored Mughal road – connecting Poonch and Shopian districts of south Kashmir – after halting the vehicular traffic movement on Sunday evening following a landslide along the thoroughfare at Mansar Morh Peer Ki Gali.

An official told news agency that the road has been cleared of the debris at affected spot and the stranded fruit-laden trucks allowed to ply along the road.

It is pertinent to mention here that the thoroughfare was exclusively thrown open to fruit-laden trucks and movement of Gujjar-Bakerwals. However, on frequent appeals from public, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha asked the administration to extend the relaxations for patients referred from Poonch and Rajouri districts to Srinagar hospitals.
