According to the latest billionaire rankings, Adani’s net worth stands at USD 92.6 billion, ahead of Ambani’s USD 90.8 billion. Adani is currently ranked 19th on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which tracks the world’s 500 wealthiest individuals.

As founder of the Adani Group, he leads operations spanning India’s largest private port network, the country’s biggest renewable energy business, and a major private airport portfolio, along with significant coal trading interests. His wealth is primarily linked to his stakes in the group’s listed companies, which have seen notable gains amid investor confidence in infrastructure and energy sectors.

Meanwhile, Ambani’s wealth, driven by Reliance Industries with interests in energy, telecom, and retail, has grown at a slower pace, resulting in a shift in rankings.

Globally, Elon Musk remains the world’s richest individual with a net worth of USD 656 billion, followed by Larry Page at USD 286 billion and Jeff Bezos at USD 269 billion.

Adani and Ambani are the only Indians among the top 50 richest people globally. Although Ambani had held the top spot in India for over a decade, Adani’s recent surge—despite past setbacks such as the market impact of allegations by Hindenburg Research—has seen the two industrialists alternate positions in recent years.

The latest rise in Adani’s wealth is attributed to a renewed rally in group stocks, supported by expansion in infrastructure projects and growing investor confidence in India’s long-term economic outlook.
