SRINAGAR: The Office of the Executive Engineer, Water Supply Master Plan Division, Srinagar, has issued a public notice regarding the disruption of water supply in several areas due to an unprecedented cloud burst at Alasteng, Ganderbal. The incident has resulted in a massive accumulation of debris in the Sindh Extension Water Canal.
As a response to the situation, the ground teams are already working diligently to clear and repair the canal. However, the severity of the damages and the extensive debris require substantial efforts and time for complete restoration. Consequently, the water supply in the affected areas is expected to remain disrupted until Sunday evening.
The areas impacted by the water supply disruption will be; Pandach, Buchpora, Soura, Anchar, Boh Lachipora, Zoonimar, Nowshera, Baghi Ali Mardan Khan, Zadibal, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar, Rajouri Kadal, Nallamar, Nawa Kadal, Bohri Kadal, Nowhatta, Hazratbal, Saderbal, Nigeen, Saida Kadal, Lal Bazar, Karan Nagar, Chattabal, Kawdara, Eidgah, Maharaj Gunj, Zaina Kadal, Noorbagh, Saidapora, Bemina, Firdous Abad, Batamaloo, Zainakote, Noorabad, Umerabad, Qamarwari, Malshahibagh, Zakura, Gulabbagh, Alasteng, Shuhama, Hadoora, Chaterhama, Khallamula, Bussrbugh, Habak, Naseem Bagh, and adjoining areas.
