Multiple rounds of funeral prayers held for slain LeT commander in Arwani

Multiple rounds of funeral prayers were held for slain LeT commander Azad Ahmad Malik alias Dada, at his native village Arwani area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Friday.

Reports said that thousands of people from various areas of the south Kashmir reached to Arwani and participated in the funeral prayers of the slain. At least three rounds of funeral prayers were held with the gathering of people in thousands.

Pertinently, the district Islamabad in south Kashmir witnessed a complete shutdown against the killings. Earlier, clashes were reported from Khanabal- Naibasti localities of the town.

Six militants were killed during an encounter with government forces in Shalgund village of Bijbehara tehsil.  Incriminating materials including a huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter.
