Abdul Mateen 53, resident of Nathipora Village in Dooru area of Islamabad in south Kashmir breathed his last at SKIMS Soura on Tuesday.
He was elder brother of Director Information Muneer-ul-Islam. His nimaz-e-janaza will be offered at 6:30 pm in his native village Nathipora Dooru.
A former employee of Centaur Lake View Hotel,a former student leader Mateen passed away at SKIMS Soura Tuesday morning after brief illness. He is survived by wife and two kids.
Born at Nathipora, Dooru in district Islamabad, Abdul Mateen did his LLB from Kashmir University in 1992. He was the president of Kashmir University Students Union during early 1990s. After serving for some time in Centaur Lake View Hotel, Mateen took voluntary retirement in 2007.
