SRINAGAR: Muslims made arrangements for the last rites of 85-year-old Radha Krishnan who passed away today in Wussan village of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

As per reports that Muslim neighbours rushed to the house of Radha Krishnan after the news of his death reached them.

Muslim men were seen carrying the hearse to the cremation ground in the village.

The Muslim community helped the family perform the last rites of Radha Krishan as per Hindu rituals.

“This is true Kashmir, this is our culture and we share brotherhood. We do not believe in divisive politics. We share composite culture,” said, a neighbour Sheikh Bashir Ahmad.

Radha Krishan decided to stay in the Kashmir valley in the ‘90s when the majority of Kashmiri Pandits migrated from the region.

As news of her demise spread in the region, hundreds of Muslims, including women and children, rushed towards his house and took part in the last rites.

Meanwhile, local resident Sheikh Bashir Ahmad said that I personally and on behalf of Civil Society Kangan and Wussan  Welfare Foundation extends heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
