The Government today issued orders posting Secretary to Government presently posted in the Home Department, Muzaffar Ahmad Wani as Secretary Legislative Assembly relieving Secretary to Government, Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of additional charge.

According to an order issued by the Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs, the powers relating to day-to-day functioning of the Legislative Assembly delegated to the Secretary Legislative Assembly are, to finalise the pension cases of employees in accordance with the rules, to sanction all types of leave in accordance with the provision of Leave Rules, to issue No Demand certificates on account of House building/Scooter/Car Advance to the employees retiring on superannuation, to grant NOC for obtaining passport/making an appliance for seeking employment elsewhere, to authorise the medical treatment outside the Union Territory in cases covered under rules, to accord sanction for withdrawal of G.P. Fund in accordance with the rules, to sanction deputation of officer/Officials outside the Union Territory but within country in connection with the government business, to make transfer/postings/adjustments of the officials up to the level of Section Officer (s) and to impose minor punishments in accordance with law.

Furthermore, Dr Ghulam Mohiudin, Special Secretary to Government awaiting orders of adjustment in the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has been transferred and posted in the Home Department vice Muzaffar Ahmad Wani.
