A mysterious disease has broken out in North Kashmir’s frontier township of Uri.

Reports and local sources said that the school children in the age group of 1.5 -5 years of age are continuously complaining of fever.

“The children in Churanda area of Uri have fallen ill due to some mysterious disease which includes fever, cough and diarrhoea,” locals said

Khushal Ahmed Masi, a local from Churanda told Kashmir Life, “from past 20 days children have been affected by this mysterious disease.”

When contacted, Block Medical Officer, Mir Ramzan Uri said, “we have sent a team doctors who are ascertaining this case.”
