Minister for Public Works Naeem Akhtar and Minister for Education Altaf Bukhari on Friday visited LD Hospital and took stock of pace of construction of various facilities at the hospital.
Naeem Akhtar directed the officials to ensure that all modern facilities are included in the building. He said that the new block should be constructed in such a way that it will suffice the needs of patients and hospital staff for years to come. He stressed on the need for future planning while undertaking construction of any new building at such a vital public health institution.
The Ministers also took stock of steps taken for providing better facilities for patients and attendants, proper disposal of hospital waste and other issues. The Ministers also discussed the planning and future vision of the hospital with the hospital administration. They assured the hospital administration that government will provide every help in turning the hospital into one of the best health institutions.
