SRINAGAR: National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra has pledged to escalate the demand for a dedicated Government Degree College building in Nagrota with the concerned authorities.
Addressing a student gathering at an event organised by the National Conference Students Union (NCSU) in Nagrota, Sadhotra highlighted the importance of providing adequate academic infrastructure for fostering education. He assured attendees that the issue of the college building would be taken up with the minister of the concerned department, emphasising his party’s commitment to nurturing youth potential.
During his speech, Sadhotra urged students to actively contribute to nation-building and safeguard India’s unity and diversity. He stressed the role of education in shaping responsible citizens and building a progressive society. “Education is not just a pathway to personal success but a means to lead the nation toward a brighter future,” he stated.
The event, marked by enthusiastic participation, witnessed hundreds of students joining the NCSU, reflecting their faith in the party’s vision for youth empowerment. Prominent new entrants included Deep Kumar Sharma, Chanchal Sharma, and Jatin, among others.
Sadhotra also warned against divisive forces attempting to disrupt the social fabric and called for collective efforts to preserve secularism and inclusivity in Jammu and Kashmir.
Leaders such as Mohd Ayoub Malik, Chander Mohan Sharma, and Abdul Gani Teli were also present, reinforcing the party’s focus on education and youth engagement under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
