Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday issued a following statement about the Narbal shootout saying that Srinagar police on a credible input arrested three militants travelling in a vehicle in the outskirts of the city today.
“A vehicle-borne militant was intercepted by a naka party at Narbal leading to a brief exchange of fire in which one militant sustained injuries while two others were apprehended. The injured has been evacuated to hospital for medical attention. Their identity is being ascertained,” the spokesman in a statement said.
“Incriminating material including a huge quantity of arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot,” he said.
A case has been registered and the investigation has been initiated, the spokesman said.
