Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Tangdar Dr Bilal Mohiddin Bhat, on Tuesday escaped unhurt after a snow avalanche hit his vehicle at Sadhna top area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports said that SDM Karnah was travelling from Karnah to Kupwara and his vehicle was hit by a snow avalanche at Sadna top.
In the incident, the driver of the vehicle has suffered a minor injury while the SDM and his PSO were rescued safely under the snow.
The injured driver was shifted to hospital for treatment.
