In a post on X, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference said Kichloo participated in the INDIA bloc’s protest against alleged voter manipulation and concerns over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls being conducted under Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The party alleged that the revision exercise had deprived millions of Indian citizens of their voting rights and criticised the police action against the Rajya Sabha MP.
The INDIA bloc, led by Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and other opposition leaders, held a protest march in New Delhi under the banner “Chalo Delhi – March for Democracy”, heading towards the Supreme Court to demand Kumar’s resignation over alleged “vote chori” and irregularities in the SIR process.
Opposition parties have questioned the electoral-roll revision exercise, alleging irregularities and demanding accountability from the Election Commission.
