On the second day of the Khushwant Singh Literary Festival in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, journalist and prominent TV anchor Nidhi Razdan’s passionate account of home truths from Kashmir won her many hearts on Saturday.

While talking about her book Left, Right and Centre in a conversation with Farukkh Dhondy moderated by Upinder Singh, Nidhi spoke of how the national discourse about her home state was damaging, reported new Delhi based newspaper.

While quoting Nidhi, the newspaper reported her saying,“The reality is much more complicated than the issues of the Kashmiri Pandits. We’ve never paid enough attention to the Kashmiri Muslims either. It is as though Kashmir is no longer a Hindu-Muslim issue, but more of an India-Pakistan issue.”

The highlight, however, remained, Nidhi’s critical analysis of the state of media in the country today.
