SRINAGAR: A Navy Commando from Jammu’s Bishnah village lost his life during a training session in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. During the training session, his parachute got entangled in high tension wires, causing it to catch fire.

Son of a retired teacher, Ankur’s body was brought back to his native village, Kothey-Sadorian in Bishnah, where his family and thousands of villagers bid him a tearful adieu.

The body was taken to the Purmandal area of Samba for last rites, and officials confirmed that senior officers from the Navy, Army, Air Force, and police, along with civil officials, were in attendance.
His body was cremated at the Cremation Ground Purmandal in Samba district with fuill military honours on Saturday. His body had flown the same day from Agra.
