SRINAGAR: Government College for Women, Nawakadal on Wednesday held a condolence meeting over the demise of the mother-in-law of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Huda Galzai. She passed away on Monday.
The meeting, presided over by Prof Pinu G Andrabi, was attended by all the teaching, non-teaching, local fund employees, and students of the college.
It started with a Fateh Khawani led by Prof GM Wani, followed by prayers for the departed soul and the bereaved family.
“At this hour of grief, we all stand with our principal and her family. May the Almighty grant her mother-in-law Jannah and give the family patience to bear this irreparable loss,” Prof. Wani said.
Addressing the meeting, the Staff Secretary, Prof. Hafizullah Shiekh, said: “On behalf of the entire teaching and non-teaching staff and the students of the college, we express our heartfelt condolences to our worthy principal on the sad demise of her beloved mother-in-law.”
“We share her grief and pray to the Almighty to forgive the departed soul, grant her eternal peace, and bless her with the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.”
After the meeting, a staff delegation comprising teaching and non-teaching staff visited the principal’s residence to offer condolences.
