Terming the death of the Nawakadal youth as unfortunate, Inspector General CRPF, P.K.Singh Thursday said that they have initiated a court of inquiry to find out the causes and circumstances that led to the death of Bashir Ahmed Bhat.
“Police have already started the process of inquiry but CRPF is doing internal inquiry on its own. We have directed the inquiry team to submit the report as soon as possible,” Singh told CNS adding that the incident occurred after peaceful polling during the day.
He said that CRPF had already formulated a strategy how to deal with protesters but, ‘the mob was violent and everything went out of control.’
