National Front Chairperson and Hurriyat (g) senior leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Sunday paid tributes to slain militant Irshad Ahmad Ganaie of Padgampora, Pulwama.
In a party statement, Khan said, “five unarmed persons were brutally massacred at Tangmarg in 2010 by forces when they were peacefully protesting against the desecration of Quran. The men in uniform opened the faces of their guns and massacred five innocent persons and injured many others. Forces are enjoying complete impunity in Kashmir especially when they kill Muslims.”
“This impunity has encouraged the men in uniform to kill any person in Jammu Kashmir under the garb of law and order,” he said.
Khan paid tributes to the victims of Tangmarg as well as the other youth of Kashmir who laid their lives “while fighting the occupied forces”.
“Our another brave hero Irshad Ahmad Ganai son of Abdul Majid Ganai of Padgampora Pulwama sacrificed his life at Kakpora while fighting the forces,” Khan said and added, “Irshad Ahmad Ganai like other martyrs did not surrender and preferred death. Such brave hearts are worth salutes because they sacrifice their lives in the way of freedom struggle.”
Nayeem Ahmad Khan pledged to take the “mission of martyrs to its logical conclusion by achieving freedom from India”.
“People must honour the great sacrifices of martyrs by continuing to resist against the Indian occupation. Indian illogical stance vis-à-vis Kashmir is the only reason behind the continuous bloodshed in Kashmir,” the statement quoting Khan further said.
He said that New Delhi should shun its traditional policy in order to establish long lasting stability in the South Asian region.
Meanwhile, National spokesperson strongly condemned the continuous house detention of chairman, Nayeem Ahmad Khan. He said, “the so called government and administration is doing everything to please RSS and like-minded anti-Muslim forces.”
