nayeem-khan“Had Indian army not landed in Kashmir sixty eight years before, there would have been no tension on the borders and there would have been no bloody lines at all dividing peaceful Kashmiris,” said incarcerated Hurriyat (g) leader and head of National Front Chairperson.

He said, “the landing of Indian army in Jammu Kashmir created such an uncertainty in the whole South Asian region which has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives so far and the people are living apprehensive lives not only in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir but in the whole region.”

In a statement issued, Khan said, “India which claims to be the largest democracy in the world is identified as an occupier in Jammu Kashmir and it’s so called democratic face has visible stains of blood of Kashmiris.”

“If India is sincere to live peacefully with its neighbours then it has to fulfil its promises made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir by its leaders on the local and international levels. t is unfortunate that India is using oppressive measures against Kashmiris and for this purpose it is using its local collaborators who’s activities are aimed at fulfilling the Indian goals,” Khan said adding, “the latest shameful act of these collaborators is the use of forces against peaceful Kashmiris and arrest spree which they have started in nook and corner of the valley.”

Khan further said, “India is busy using oppressive measures in Jammu Kashmir from round about seven decades now that is why the people of the state observe October 27, as a black day because this day is the only reason of their worries and troubles.”

He endorsed the call given by Hurriyat Conference about 27 October and appealed people to follow the Hurriyat programme in letter and spirit.

“Black flags should be hoisted in nook and corner of the valley so that world knows that Jammu and Kashmir Muslims are against the military occupation of India,” Khan added.

Referring to the latest statements of Indian leaders, Khan said, “Jammu and Kashmir is not a part of any India, but an internationally accepted dispute so New Delhi must shun its illogic stand and policy so that not only 1.30 crore people of J&K but the people living in the whole region can live with peace and prosperity.”

Meanwhile, Nayeem Ahmad Khan has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of the daughter of Imam-e-Hai of Jamia Masjid Srinagar. He also condoled the passing away of known businessman, Mohammad Maqbool Tramboo, who was Managing Director of Khyber Group of Industries.
