Terming the statement of National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah about the article 370 as ridicules and politics of deceit, chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Geelani Monday said that the article 370 is recorded only in papers and the father of Farooq Abdullah has buried this article in 1975, when he accepted chief-ministership instead of Prime-ministership and surrendered the plebiscite movement which was nourished with the hot blood, merely for the chair.

“Modi is really a communal person but the Congress party with witch National Conference has joined hands, is not anything different from Modi in anti-Muslim activities,” Geelani said in a statement.

“The maximum number of anti-Muslim riots happened in Congress regime and many Masjids including Babri Masjid was destroyed in congress period,” Geelani said.

Terming Farooq Abdullah an opportunist politician, Geelani said, “he (Farooq) has a capability that he can change his statement 10 times a day. Nowadays, he is frequently mentioning the article 370 in his election rallies which is only an ‘election stunt’ and he tries to befool the innocent people.”

“The land grants bill was passed in assembly when Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was Chief Minister and according that bill the non-state persons can take the land for 90 years on lease. I had asked Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah that who will take this land back after 90 years from them when none of us will be present,” Geelani said.

Geelani said that the army has occupied about 28 lakh kanals of land and this process is still continuing. “No act or article has stopped this transfer of land while as the 896 Kanals of land in Bijbihara which is under Armies occupation and according to the army they have purchased the land in 1980 from the state government when Sheikh Abdullah was Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir,” Geelani said.

Terming the part of the statement of Farooq Abdullah as a joke in which he said that the article 370 is the identity of Kashmir and National Conference will not permit any one to harm this article. The pro-freedom leader said, “If Farooq Abdullah and his party National Conference would be a little bit sincere and serious about the article 370, they would have restored this article to its original position before 1953, when they were having majority in the assembly, but they not only remained silent but when late Abdul Gani Lone and I jointly talked about such kind of bill, they made different excuses to put it aside,” Geelani said.

Hurriyat chairman said that it is a meaningless and needless statement of Farooq Abdullah that the state of Jammu and Kashmir has its own constitution and flag. “These are only signs and symbols which have remained here else there is direct control of Indian home ministry over Kashmir and whoever is Chief Minister, may it Farooq Abdullah, Umar Abdullah, Mufi Sayeed or Ghulam Nabi Azad they have the status of only  “Show Boys” who even don’t have the power to appoint police chief of their choice.

Hurriyat chairman said that Farooq Abdullah is cursing Modi only to gain votes while as he had remained in their alliance in the past and his son Umar Abdullah was working as a minister in the BJP’s rule when 3,000 innocent people were killed by Modi in Gujrat.

Geelani said that the Congress party with which Farooq Abdullah has entered in alliance, is not less than Modi or BJP in communal race and this party has given second class citizenship to the Indian Muslims and it was secretly running RSS agenda.

Geelani said, “National Conference has always played the politics of fraud and deceit and it has only the lust of power and chair.”

“If Modi will become the Prime Minister of India, it (National Conference) will change its language in seconds and today whom he (Farooq Abdullah) is criticizing and terming dangerous person, he (Modi) will become its godfather in no time and Farooq Abdullah will shower praises over him,” Geelani said.

While reiterating his appeal for evening protest demonstration on  April 29 and statewide shutdown and protests on  April 30, the pro-freedom leader said that people should not fall prey to the politics of deceit of Farooq Abdullah, Mufti Sayeed, Saif-ud-din Soz, People’s Conference, Aam Admi Party or any other Independent candidate who are taking part in the election drama.
