NC Meeting

National Conference on Wednesday condemned the killing of a youth, Parvaiz Ahmed Guroo, in Pulwama and also expressed grief at two more youth sustaining gunshot injuries.

“The PDP-BJP Government, over the course of the last two months, ignored growing unrest and disquiet in Pulwama and today’s tragic incident appears to be a manifestation of the PDP-BJP Government turning a blind eye towards the prolonged situation that has existed in Pulwama for a while now. Our hearts go out to the bereaved family and we pray for peace to the departed soul,” NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani said in a statement issued from Party Headquarters in Srinagar.

Meanwhile, NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar Wednesday announced to conduct “intra-party elections” for Kashmir province.

“Our membership drive in Kashmir province has taken almost three months to complete which is now complete with  8,67,450 membership tickets issued to party members across Kashmir valley and I feel proud to share with you that all the drive has been absolutely fair and transparent,” NC Kashmir president said.
