NC-Cong alliance heading for a whitewash in J&K

KL Report

SRINAGAR

The Congress and its ally National Conference is heading towards its worst ever performance in Jammu and Kashmir. The National Conference which had won three seats in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections has been unable to retain even a single seat.

The party lost by the hands of Mehbooba in Islamabad and by the hands of Baig in Baramulla.

NC’s president is also on a losing path as he was trailing more than 31000 votes till the reports last came in. Farooq is losing by the hands of his junior most in politics, Tariq Hamid Karra of PDP.

Following the NC is the Congress which, too, couldn’t open its account in the state. Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, who was contesting from his home constituency Udhampur, lost by the hands of Jatindra Singh of BJP.
