Expressing shock and grief over the killing of sumo driver Asif Iqbal in kupwara,National Conference on Sunday strongly condemning the incident, NC Working President Mr. Omar Abdullah termed the killing of Asif Iqbal of Kupwara as a tragic and inconsolable loss and extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

In a statement NC working president demanding that the FIR registered by J&K Police about this tragic incident should be taken to its logical conclusion in a time-bound and transparent manner, the “an un-investigated claim of a young life lost in ‘cross-firing’ shouldn’t be used to brush the incident under the carpet.”
Meanwhile,National Conference General Secretary Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Party Vice President Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, NC District President Kupwara Qaiser Jamsheed Lone and Former Minister Mir Saifullah have also expressed grief and shock over the tragic loss of life and prayed for peace to the departed soul.
