National Conference leaders and workers on Wednesday visited the grave of Late Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah at Hazratbal Srinagar and offered fateh besides placing floral wreaths on his grave. It was Abdullah’s 113th birth day anniversary.

Fateh Khawani was observed amid chill and dense fog on the banks of Dal Lake. Besides the party workers , Omar Abdullah , Farooq Abdullah and Mustafa Kamal were also present there to pay their homage.

Mustafa Kamal, much known for his controversial outbursts lambasted the BJP for their communal politics.  “They are the worst perpetrators of communal frenzy and recent lynching’s bear testimony to it,” kamal said while talking to the media persons.

Meanwhile, Former chief minister Farooq Abdullah, on Wednesday talked about the conspiracies of JK bank being turned into PSU said that such move was in  pipeline from a very long time.  “They have not  succeeded till then but probably in the governor’s rule they thought they will succeed,” said Abdullah while talking to the reporters on the side-lines of a function marking 36th annual day of SKIMS at SKICC.

Dr Farooq Abdullah said Sher-e-Kashmir’s legacy of struggles for the identity and the dignity of the state and its people provides a guiding light for not just the party but the people of Jammu and Kashmir as a whole. “The best tribute to Sher-e-Kashmir would be to leave no stone unturned to fight for the honour and dignity of our people who have suffered immensely due to various political machinations, instability and turmoil,” Dr Farooq Abdullah said.

National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah while paying glowing tributes to Sher-e-Kashmir said that the party is committed to nurture his legacy of secular thinking and inclusive approach for one and all.

“The party continues to follow the path laid down by Sher-e-Kashmir which is to protect the identity and dignity of J&K and its people against forces hell-bent to divide us on the basis of religion, region and language,” the party Vice President said.
