SRINAGAR: National Conference leader and MLA from Srigufwara-Bijbehara Assembly seat, Bashir Ahmad Veeri has been released after a brief detention and questioning at Humhama Police Station on Sunday.
He was stopped for questioning at the airport when the X-ray scan led to the recovery of two live rounds from his baggage. The MLA was immediately shifted to the Humhama police post for questioning.
During the investigation, he presented the licence for the pistol. The MLA was released immediately after coming up clean.
