Dr Farooq Abdullah, National Conference patron and union minister on Thursday said NC will field its candidates on all the three parliamentary constituencies in valley. He said the party will nominate all its candidates for the forthcoming parliamentary election on December 5.

Talking to Kashmir News Service, (KNS), Dr Abdullah said: “The party will nominate its candidates on December 5 (birth anniversary of NC founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah) and with firmness gear-up to contest the forthcoming elections.”

Dr Abdullah further stated that no meeting between NC and Congress was held so that the pre-poll alliance between the two parties could be discussed. “The reports that the NC has entered in the alliance with Congress is not true and these rumors will not affect the functioning of our party.”

NC patron maintained that there is no need to have talks with congress for the pre-poll alliance and that the party has the strong foothold in all the three regions of the state.

When asked about the reports that Congress has asked for one parliamentary seat from NC in valley, Dr. Abdullah said that the NC will fight the forth coming polls on its own and that the party has decided to field candidates for all the three constituencies in valley.  “I wonder that what more the congress would ask for in the coming time. The party has no second thought about the issue that it will contest parliamentary polls on its own in valley.”

Pertinently, during 2009 parliamentary polls, NC forged alliance with Congress in the state and won all the three seats in valley
