Provincial President of Women’s Wing, Er Sabiya Qadri, was also present during the protest. The demonstrators, including Women’s Wing functionaries and District Presidents, were halted by the Police while moving towards TRC junction in Srinagar, demanding answers from the J&K administration.

Interacting with the media on the occasion, Shameem Firdous stated, “Over ten thousand girls and women have gone missing in Kashmir in the past three years. This is a matter of grave concern, and the figures reveal the stark reality of women’s safety and security in Kashmir. Where are those who promote the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign? The current situation is such that women and girls feel unsafe whenever they leave their homes, whether it’s for school, work, or any other function. The fear of insecurity follows them everywhere.”

In her address, Sabiya Qadri said, “All talk and no action. ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ is just a hollow phrase; the condition of women on various fronts has only worsened, despite lofty promises.”
