Unidentified people attacked residences of two ruling National Conference workers in downtown Srinagar however no one was injured in the incidents.

Police sources said that unidentified people hurled petrol bombs at the residences of Mohammad Shafi Lone and Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, both National Conference workers, in Jamalatta locality of the old city.

They added that the glass panes of both the houses were shattered in the attack which occurred during the night.

However, police clarified that both the incidents were insignificant.

Pertinently, the Lok Sabha polls in Kashmir are approaching. South Kashmir has to go for polls on April 24, while as in the central and north Kashmir, the polling is scheduled on April 30 and May 7 respectively.
