SRINAGAR: The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK), has announced revised school timings for all institutions across the Kashmir Division, to take effect from November 1, 2025. The new schedule is applicable to both government and recognised private schools.
As per Order No. 309-DSEK of 2025, dated October 30, 2025, schools within the Srinagar Municipal limits will function from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, while those outside the municipal limits of Srinagar District and in other parts of the Kashmir Province will operate from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The Directorate has instructed all heads of institutions to strictly follow the revised timings, cautioning against any deviation. The order has also been circulated to the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Deputy Commissioners, and other concerned departments for strict enforcement.
Signed by the Director General of School Education, Kashmir, the directive further requests the Department of Information to ensure wide dissemination of the new schedule through both print and electronic media.
