SRINAGAR: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Sunday launched clearance operations on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Kaw Morh in Udhampur after major landslides and mudslides disrupted traffic.
The landslides blocked the up-tube lane towards Srinagar, halting vehicular movement on the affected stretch.
To facilitate the movement of Srinagar-bound traffic during the restoration work, authorities diverted vehicles onto the Jammu-bound tube at Kaw Morh.
NHAI personnel and machinery have been deployed to remove the debris and restore traffic movement on the affected lane.
The clearance operation is underway.
