The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday filed a charge sheet against Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Aasiya Andrabi and two of her associates for allegedly “waging war” against the country using social media and other Internet platforms, officials said.
The NIA spokesman in a statement said Andrabi, Sofi Fehmeeda, and Naheeda Nasreen were using various social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and TV channels including some in Pakistan to spread “insurrectionary imputations and hateful messages and speeches against India.”
Aasiya and two associates Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen were arrested by NIA in July and currently lodged in Tihar jail.
