After questioning for about six hours on second consecutive day Friday in New Delhi, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has given clean chit to the President, Kashmir Bar Association Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom, reports quoting sources said.

They said that all allegations against Qayoom as displayed by an Indian TV Channel have been found baseless and unfounded, adding that Qayoom along with his team of seven Advocates is returning home today on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bar has thanked all district and Mufassil Bar associations who gave full hearted support to Qayoom and showed their solidarity with the President.

Pertinently, lawyers across the valley supported the program given by Kashmir High Court Bar Association and continued their protest and strike today.

NIA is investigating an alleged funding case in Kashmir registered on May 30 this year. The investigation agency has so far arrested seven pro-freedom leaders, a businessman and two youth including a photojournalist regarding the case.
