SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches in parts of Kashmir on Saturday in a case of terror funding by Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir, an unlawful association under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Quoting sources, Kashmir Scroll reported that the agency sleuths are carrying out these raids in the Southern region of Kashmir, including Kulgam district and also in Srinagar. The individuals affiliated with Jamaat-e-Islami (JEI) are being raided.

Sources said the raids are underway in close coordination with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
