Nine New Amrit Bharat Express Trains to Be Flagged Off Soon

   

SRINAGAR: Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that nine new Amrit Bharat Express trains will be flagged off shortly, expanding long-distance rail connectivity across several regions of the country.

In a series of social media posts, the Minister shared details of the routes to be covered by the new services. The proposed Amrit Bharat Express trains will operate on the Kamakhya–Rohtak, Dibrugarh–Gomti Nagar, New Jalpaiguri–Tiruchirapalli, New Jalpaiguri–Nagercoil, Alipurduar–SMVT Bengaluru, Alipurduar–Panvel, Santragachi–Tambaram, Howrah–Anand Vihar Terminal, and Sealdah–Banaras corridors.

Vaishnaw said the new trains are part of the Railways’ ongoing efforts to enhance passenger amenities and improve connectivity between major cities and regions. Further details on launch dates and operational schedules are expected to be announced in due course.
