SRINAGAR: The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has issued a notification inviting applications for a total of 50 vacancies spanning 13 different posts. The positions range from Deputy Director to Section Officer, offering opportunities across various levels. The last date to apply is December 21, 2023.
The posts are divided in three groups viz. Group A (6 vacancies), Group B (25 vacancies), and Group C (19 vacancies). An application fee ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 1500 is applicable based on the candidate’s category and the post they are applying for. The application process is online and there is no requirement of submitting a hard copy.
Before applying, candidates must thoroughly review the educational qualifications, age limits, and reservation quotas prescribed for each post. Additionally, there are relaxations in upper age limits for reserved categories, and applicants are required to submit necessary certificates to support their reservation claims.
The selection process involves shortlisting candidates based on written test or Computer-Based Test (CBT) scores. Group A positions will undergo further evaluation through interviews, with a weightage of 80 per cent given to the written test and 20 per cent to the interview. Certain Group C positions will require applicants to undergo a skill test of qualifying nature.
